BaseALT LLC is the developer of Russian ALT operating systems. The company has more than 20 years of experience in software development. We employ over 120 developers, programmers, and technical specialists.

BaseALT LLC develops solutions and releases distributions using its own technologies and tools. The independent Sisyphus repository serves as the base of all these solutions and distributions. It is one of the world's largest banks of consistently maintained free software packages. The repository was created in 2001. As of today, it contains about 20,000 packages.

Sisyphus is based on software-building technologies which take into account the inter-program dependencies, and on proven developer interaction processes. This repository allows for making a stable branch (software platform) from time to time, which is then maintained for a long time, and is used as the base for building the next generation of ALT distributions.

The Sisyphus repository is currently available for the following architectures: x86_64, aarch64, i586armh, RISC-V, and ppc64le. The process of porting it to other platforms is under way. Distributions of ALT operating systems are designed to allow integration with one another, which makes it possible to build information systems of any scale, as well as to work in heterogeneous networks.

BaseALT LLC has extensive experience in leading IT projects in various sectors of the economy: medicine, education, industry, and government. Thanks to the company’s wide partner network, many projects are carried out by our certified partners.

The main processes are as follows: software implementation and configuration, training for users and system administrators, and round-the-clock technical support. Our partners include distributors, integrators, OEM and technology partners, and training centers.

The products are tested for compatibility with hardware and application software, both free and proprietary, on a regular basis. This means meeting the most essential needs of the users: working with email, browsers and video conferencing systems, office suites and databases, document management and content management systems (ECM, CRM, ERP, etc.), as well as accounting and other industry systems. Other frequently requested services include automating collaboration, managing corporate communications, combating computer viruses, deploying classrooms, adding to knowledge bases, using portal and cloud solutions, and deploying web technologies.
